Destiny Rise of Iron ReviewDestiny Rise of Iron is the new game from Treyarch. It is the fifth game for their Metal Gear Solid series. I loved all of the games in the series when I was a kid, but this one took the crown as my favorite one. A lot of people have not heard of it because it has not been announced at all, so here's a quick description. But let's get to the actual review now.This game is like one of those novels where you're sitting there listening to all the scenes and scenarios unfold before your eyes. But with a few important differences. First off, you don't choose a character for the missions. They are randomly assigned to you, but they are still your friends. The mission situations and objectives are always the same, and while there is a story behind it, it is not directly related to you, and therefore takes away from the allure of the story.There are different mission scenarios, each with their own set of story lines, though at least half of them revolve around reve nge. The story revolves around Raiden, and the Big Bosses of the series. Each mission revolves around either taking out a group of targets, or finding a new place to hide. The missions do not really last long, though there are a few that will actually last for hours.As far as the missions go, they are easy to understand, yet they tend to require too much thinking on your part. For example, if you are going after a group of targets, and they have an air-raid shelter, but the air-raid siren is still going off, you might find it impossible to figure out how to take them out, without a flash-bang grenade. I've seen so many 'single-target' missions.In addition to these missions, there are also a number of side-missions. These are great, as they are also very short, yet they allow you to earn some extra cash.The online multiplayer is also nice, and there is a decent amount of people playing at any given time. However, for a game like this, I have found the online play to be rather large a nd can even cause the game to crash sometimes. These online matches do tend to be about 60% to 70% the quality of regular matchmaking, so if you have a low-end system then I would consider avoiding this mode.Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game. I personally think the story is better than the previous games, and the gameplay is pretty solid. Overall, I give this game a 7 out of 10.
